Count calories in homemade food

How to count calories in your homemade food ?
This is my problem when I started to diet. My family is a vegetarian family, so..I always cook homemade food for my family....everyday. The problem is I don't know how many calories inside my food. I thought the vegetarian food are the low calories food, not always right. It depends with how to cook. I love, love, love fried food and the fried food is high calories because of fat. Yes, still lower if you compare with non-vegetarian fried food.
Then, today I was browsing again and again in internet to get the calorie counter website. I got it !!! Its www.nutritiondata.com , but still you have to do the math. Its worth it, because if you know what you eat...you know when to stop, when to add protein (I use www.calorieking.com), when to add fiber and etc.
So, try it...
Its simple enough, only write all the ingredients in your recipe then you type in Nutrition Data website then search. The website will show you everything about that food. What you have to do is write down all those things to the paper. Do the same thing to all ingredients, then count it. You will get the number, then divide the number with how many serving your food. Voila !!
I hope this blog is helpfull for people who start the diet or just want to be healthy.
Please comment, if you have a question and I know the answer I'll share with you. If not, maybe someone read my blog and know the answer...
